Goldsmiths’ Fair applications are now open!

For more than four decades, Goldsmiths’ Fair has brought together some of the UK’s best contemporary jewellers and silversmiths, providing a unique opportunity for visitors to buy directly from makers and to discuss their skills, practices and inspirations. It is widely regarded as an essential stop in the international fine jewellery and contemporary silver events calendar.

The Fair’s selection panel are looking for applications that show work with an original voice and excellent hand-making, technical and finishing skills. If you've applied before, the panel will be looking for a development of style or technique, combined with ongoing commitment to craft, professionalism and ambition. Most of all, they want to see the authenticity of your work and what makes it unique.

This year the Fair has launched its Emerging Business Bursary scheme, created to celebrate and nurture talent in the design and making of fine jewellery and contemporary silver.

If you started your jewellery or silversmithing business within the last six years and have not exhibited at Goldsmiths' Fair before, the Emerging Business Bursary might be for you.

The 10 recipients receive a free stand at the Fair, a £1,500 grant to help prepare for the Fair - whether helping cover materials, display props, travel or accommodation - a series of professional training sessions from the Goldsmiths' Centre, and an optional interest-free silver bullion loan of up to £3,000. Full details and criteria on the Goldsmiths' Fair website.

Applications close on Thursday 29 February at midday (12pm).
